Anniversary Ceremony

10th Wedding Anniversary
Rev. Bill Wiles

(Groom name and Bride Name), all of us gathered here today, your family, relations and friends; delighted to be able to share the happiness of this day with you. All married couples here today have an added reason for joy. Today, the renewal of your vows sparks off memories of their own wedding.  It reminds them of the commitment they made to each other and that their marriage is a sacrament blessed by God.
And so, (Groom name and Bride Name) the renewal of your vows today is a reminder to them and yourselves to cherish and foster yours and their marriages once again today.
Who gives these two people to each other? (Grandkids say "We Do!")
A renewal of vows is a recommitment to each other. You have already made these pledges to each other, but sometimes we need to hear them again from time to time to rekindle those feelings that the trapment of everyday life leads us to forget.
With that being said, (Groom), do you reaffirm the vows you made to (Bride) ten years ago to love, cherish, support and defend her for as long as you both shall live? (Groom says "I Do!")
(Bride), do you also reaffirm the vows you made to (Groom) those same long, long ten years ago (Pause for laughter) to love, cherish, support and defend him for as long as you both shall live? (Bride says "I Do!")
By the power vested in me by God, go and live the rest of your fruitful life with peace, love and commitment to each other!
(Groom), you may kiss your bride again!
